Sealless coupling that transmits torque across a static barrier using permanent magnets rather than a shaft seal. Removes the leak path entirely, making it well suited to pumps handling hazardous, corrosive or high-purity fluids. Rare-earth magnets — neodymium-iron-boron as standard, samarium-cobalt where higher operating temperatures are involved — drive the coupling synchronously through the containment shell. If the load torque ever exceeds the coupling’s rating, it simply slips rather than stalling the motor or breaking a component, acting as built-in overload protection.

Common on pumps, mixers and agitators handling pressure reactions, hydrogenation, amination and other processes where zero leakage is non-negotiable — pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical processing and any duty where a shaft seal failure isn’t an option.
