Three-piece jaw coupling with a replaceable polyurethane spider insert, offered in 92 or 98 Shore A hardness to tune vibration damping to the application. Needs no lubrication over its working life, and keeps the drive turning even if the insert fails outright. The spider can be swapped without moving either connected machine. Light and compact for its torque rating, the curved insert form compensates axial, radial and angular misalignment simultaneously, dampens the short, sharp torsional shocks and vibration a rigid connection would transmit straight into the gearbox or motor, and resists oils, greases, solvents and atmospheric attack — including ozone and hydrolysis in humid, tropical conditions.

Common in hydraulic equipment and general mechanical transmission, as well as ANSI pumps, fans, blowers, compressors, mixers and conveyor drives, particularly in general industry, chemical processing and water treatment, where the jaw design’s shock absorption and simple maintenance are valued over rigid alignment.
