Keyless Locking Elements
Keyless shaft-to-hub locking assembly that clamps using friction rather than a keyway, giving a zero-backlash connection that’s easy to fit and remove during maintenance. Tapered rings are drawn together by a ring of screws, expanding radially to clamp shaft and hub by friction alone. The connection transmits torque, axial load and bending without cutting a keyway into the shaft, so there’s no keyway stress concentration or fretting, the hub can be positioned anywhere along the shaft, and the assembly releases cleanly for maintenance.

Used on shaft-mounted gearboxes, gear wheels, sprockets, pulleys, flywheels and couplings across gearbox manufacturing, material handling, mining, steel and cement — anywhere a hub needs a secure, backlash-free fit without weakening the shaft with a keyway.
