Steel-grid coupling using a serpentine spring-steel grid seated in slotted hubs to transmit torque, absorb shock loads and dampen torsional vibration. A robust, field-serviceable alternative to elastomeric couplings. Covers split horizontally or vertically for grid access without disturbing the hubs, and the assembly is grease-lubricated for long service life.

Common on pumps and compressors from roughly 100 hp up, generator sets, and heavy industrial drives including rolling mill transmissions and mining crushing equipment, where the grid’s shock absorption and field-serviceable design are valued over elastomeric alternatives.
